On Sunday, 7th February, it was announced that Limes Hotel will be the host venue for Australia’s most famous Annual Academy Awards Night event, ROSSI’S OSCARS! on Monday, 8th March 2010.

Now in it’s 16th year and hosted by Brisbane’s own ‘Mr Hollywood’, Damien Anthony Rossi, part proceeds from ticket sales for this glamorous event will go toward cancer research. Join us for a spectacular evening of celebrities, entertainment, fashion and festivities to celebrate Hollywood’s “Night of Nights”.

Only 150 tickets for this special event are being released for purchase by the public. To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book early.

With Swedish inspired vodka cocktails, prizes for best 1970’s outfit, ABBA music and a special screenings of the smash hit movie Mamma Mia, it will be a full blown ABBA affair on the rooftop.

ABBA remains a fixture of radio playlists and is one of the world’s best-selling bands, their music has been arranged into a stage show hit Mamma Mia! which was then made into a successful movie released in July 2008 starring Meryl Streep and the dreamy Colin Firth.

On both nights we will be serving lingonberry Absolut vodka martini’s, playing all the ABBA hits and giving out a hotel vouchers for best 1970’s ABBA inspired outfits!

At Midday on Tuesday November 3 Limes Hotel is holding a smashing Gourmet Melbourne Cup Luncheon for all the fairest ladies and gents to don their fanciest racing attire and watch the race that stops a nation.

The Luncheon will be catered by Philip Johnson of e’cco bistro fame and hosted by famous TV personality Mike Goldman, not to mention over $3000 worth of prizes to be won.
